PHIL FUENTES ABILITY PARK

The Town of Cicero and the Department of Housing partnered to transform former industrial properties along South Laramie Avenue into a new inclusive community playground. The project repurposes a former brownfield site into a vibrant 3‑acre park designed to serve residents of all abilities. Serving as the Prime consultant, TERRA provided comprehensive landscape architecture, site development, electrical engineering, and surveying services. Through a collaborative process with Cicero, TERRA developed multiple concept plans to guide the selection of a preferred site layout. The proposed park program includes inclusive playground areas, a music playground, a performance stage, parking, site furnishings, bio‑infiltration features, and extensive landscaping to support a welcoming and sustainable community space.
